Real estate transactions involve one of the biggest financial investments most people experience in their lifetime.  Choosing the right real estate professional to advocate for you is key.  Your real estate professional will guide you through the entire process, from pre-listing to negotiaitons, to closing.

The important things to considering when interviewing an Agent to list your home are:

  • Are they knowledgeable?
  • What is their marketing plan?
  • Am I comfortable communicating with them?
  • Do they have resources to help with my move?
  • How often will they provide updates to me?
  • How often will they provide feedback and updates after showing my home?

Many homeowners are tempted to choose the Agent that suggests the highest listing price for their property and who pays them the most compliments.   The Agent you choose should be able to present you with a CMA (comprehensive market analysis) that compares similar homes that are on the market and that have sold recently in your market area.  This tool will be used as a guide to determine the market value of your home.

You are paying for your Agent's knowledge and expertise, so listen carefully to the advice you receive, ask questions and choose your agent thoughtfully.
